Versioning

Product releases use calendar versioning so you can see what changed and when.

Rules:

  • Stable — ship date only (YYYY.MM.DD)
  • Hotfix — append .1, .2, … (same day, later fix)
  • Beta — append -beta.1, -beta.2, …
  • RC — append -rc.1, …
  • Never reuse or overwrite a published version

Example lifecycle: 2026.07.28-beta.1 → 2026.07.28-beta.2 → 2026.07.28-rc.1 → 2026.07.28 → 2026.07.28.1
