Public Provident Fund
Transaction-based tracker — how PPF balances update from deposits, lump sums, interest, and withdrawals.
Last reviewed 2026-07-18
Public Provident Fund uses a transaction-based tracker.
You record ledger entries; Invesh derives balance and period totals from those rows. It does not compute interest from a rate table on your behalf — you add Interest when it is credited.
| Metric | Rule |
|---|---|
| Contributions | Sum of Deposit + Lump sum amounts in scope |
| Interest | Sum of Interest amounts in scope |
| Withdrawals | Sum of Withdrawal amounts in scope |
| Current value | Contributions + interest − withdrawals |
| Scope | All Accounts or one selected account |
| History | Dated transactions (year tabs on the dashboard) |
| FY summary | Opening, deposits, lump sums, withdrawals, interest, closing per financial year |
| Trend chart | Balance series after at least one transaction |
| Delete | Removing a transaction removes that history point and updates totals |
