Delete investment rows safely
Confirm bulk or single-row deletes on Bank, Stocks, US Stocks, Mutual Funds, FD, PPF, and EPF tables before they run.
Last reviewed 2026-10-10
Remove the wrong snapshot, holding, or transaction without deleting ticks you cannot see. On the seven live type dashboards, Delete Selected and the row Delete action ask you to confirm the exact rows first.
Applies to Bank Account, Stocks, US Stocks, Mutual Funds, Fixed Deposit, Public Provident Fund, and Employee Provident Fund.
Prerequisites: permission to delete (Member and above for most workspaces — see Workspace roles).
Open the app as you go
Labels match the confirm dialog in the Invesh app.
Open the type dashboard
Go to the investment type and open the table that holds the rows you want to remove (snapshots, holdings, or transactions).
Select rows or open the row menu
- Several rows — tick the checkboxes (including on other pages if you already selected them), then choose Delete Selected.
- One row — open the ⋮ menu on that row and choose Delete.
Review the confirm dialog
The dialog title names the record kind, for example Delete 3 holdings? or Delete 1 transaction?
Check:
- The list of exact rows that will be removed (symbol, name, type, description, and amount where available)
- A note such as 1 isn't on this page or 2 aren't on this page when some selected rows sit on another page
- The Total amount for those rows (EPF totals use employee + employer + pension contribution, matching the Net column)
- A Linked to a goal warning when a row is linked to a goal — deleting it removes that link and goal progress will drop
Choose Cancel to keep everything, or Confirm to delete.
Read the result toast
- Full success: N holdings deleted, N snapshots deleted, N transactions deleted, or N accounts deleted (matching the table)
- Partial failure: X deleted, Y failed — failed rows stay selected so you can retry or fix them
Dashboard totals refresh after a successful delete.
Selection clears when scope changes
Your ticks clear when you change financial year, account (or company), or table filters. That stops a delete from carrying selections into a different view by accident.
