Last reviewed 2026-07-24
Add a single EPF ledger entry under an Employee Provident Fund company account. Current value, invested, interest, share totals, and pension update from the transaction history — you do not set a separate “current price.”
Prerequisites: permission to create transactions, and an EPF company account. See Add an investment account and Employee Provident Fund.
Open the app as you go
Field labels match the Add Transaction form in the Invesh app.
Open Employee Provident Fund and pick a company
In the sidebar, open Employee Provident Fund (or start from Explore Investment). Use the company switcher for All companies or one company. Create a company account first if needed (company name and joining / account start date; optional UAN, Member ID, Establishment ID).
Start Add Transaction
Open Add Transaction on the dashboard (or finish the setup wizard’s optional first transaction). When you have more than one company, choose which company the entry belongs to.
Enter the transaction

Verify
Confirm the hero KPIs (Current value, Invested, Interest, Employee, Employer, Pension), the invested vs current chart when available, and the FY-wise summary on the EPF dashboard.
Tips
- Use Monthly contribution for a normal passbook due-month row; use Lump sum (opening / import) for opening or catch-up balances of all three buckets
- Record Interest from the passbook Int. Updated row — usually employee and employer only (pension often 0)
- Pension contribution is part of current value and also shown as its own KPI
- From Add Transaction → AI Import, Artha opens with Help me add transaction to EPF prefilled (not auto-sent) so you can attach a passbook and continue
- From Artha, you can create EPF company accounts and review one or many proposed transactions (Review & approve) before they land
- You can skip the first transaction during setup and add entries later
