Add holdings in bulk
Add many stock, US stock, mutual fund, or fixed deposit rows in one flow — manually or with Artha.

Use bulk entry when you need to enter many rows under one account. Stocks, US Stocks, Mutual Funds, and Fixed Deposit all support Bulk Entry from the Add menu. Bank snapshots can also stage multiple rows in the same form — see Add a bank account snapshot (overview: Add a snapshot or holding).
Prerequisites: permission to create holdings, and an account for that type.
Open the app as you go
Prefer Add Holding / Add Deposit → Bulk Entry, or Artha’s bulk holdings flow in the Invesh app.
Create-only, all-or-nothing
Bulk is for creating new rows (unique constraints apply — duplicates fail). If any row fails validation, nothing is saved. A successful Save All writes every filled row in the batch — not only the page you are viewing. There is no documented maximum row count in the product.
Using the bulk spreadsheet
The sheet keeps all rows in memory for paste, validation, and save. After 50 rows, the table paginates (default 50 per page; you can choose 100). Scroll the page first; use the footer page controls when you need the next set.
Footer shows:
- How many rows are on the current page (
X of Y showing) - An ₹ total for the whole batch (amount fields, or quantity × price / units × NAV when those are the row fields)
- Page controls and Save All
Add Row and Clear All sit above the table (Clear All stays visible and disables when every row is empty). Each row has a delete control.
Stocks — bulk holdings
Open Stocks
Select the broker account that should receive the rows.
Start Bulk Entry
Open Add Holding on the dashboard, then choose Bulk Entry. Or open Artha and follow the bulk holdings flow for stocks.
Enter rows
For each line, provide symbol, quantity, average buy price, and current price (same fields as a single holding). Paste or type past 50 rows as needed — use page controls in the footer. Fix validation errors before submit — invalid rows block the whole save.
Review and save
Check the footer total and page through the batch if it spans more than one page, then Save All. Check the holdings table on the Stocks dashboard.
US Stocks — bulk holdings
Open US Stocks
Select the brokerage account that should receive the rows.
Start Bulk Entry
Open Add Holding on the dashboard, then choose Bulk Entry. Or open Artha and follow the bulk holdings flow for US stocks.
Enter rows
For each line, provide symbol, quantity, average buy price, and current price in USD (same fields as a single holding). Paste or type past 50 rows as needed — use page controls in the footer. Fix validation errors before submit — invalid rows block the whole save.
Review and save
Check the footer total and page through the batch if it spans more than one page, then Save All. Check the holdings table on the US Stocks dashboard.
Mutual Funds — bulk holdings
Open Mutual Funds
Select the platform account.
Start Bulk Entry
Open Add Holding on the dashboard, then choose Bulk Entry. Or open Artha and follow the bulk holdings flow for mutual funds.
Enter rows
For each line, provide scheme name, units, average buy NAV, and current NAV. Folio is optional per row when the form allows it. Paste or type past 50 rows as needed — use page controls in the footer.
Review and save
Check the footer total and page through the batch if it spans more than one page, then Save All. Spot-check a few schemes on the Mutual Funds dashboard.
Fixed Deposit — bulk deposits
Open Fixed Deposit
Select the organization account.
Start Bulk Entry
Open Add Deposit on the dashboard, then choose Bulk Entry. Or use Artha’s assisted deposit flow for fixed deposits.
Enter rows
For each line, provide the same deposit terms as a single FD (type, principal, rate, start date, tenure). Paste or type past 50 rows as needed — use page controls in the footer. Fix validation errors before submit.
Review and save
Check the footer total and page through the batch if it spans more than one page, then Save All. Spot-check deposits on the Fixed Deposit dashboard.
Tips
- Keep one broker, platform, or organization account per real-world sleeve — do not mix unrelated books in one bulk paste
- When Artha stages holdings for several accounts, approve each broker or platform summary separately — the label includes the account name (for example, “Add 2 stock holdings · My Zerodha”)
- On Artha’s holdings review sheet, confirm the account selector matches the target sleeve before Save All
- Save All covers every filled row across pages — you do not need to save each page separately
- After SIPs or trades, edit individual holdings or re-run a smaller bulk create for new rows
- For statement PDFs, prefer Import a statement so Artha proposes rows for review
