Loading, empty, and error states
How Invesh shows empty lists, load failures, offline mode, full-page status screens, and unavailable amounts so you always know what is happening.

Across Wealth Dashboard, investment dashboards, Activity, Goals, Notifications, Support, Files, Explorer, Workspaces, and Artha, Invesh uses the same patterns so you never stare at a blank screen or mistake missing data for ₹0.
Full-page problems (missing routes, crashes, coming-soon types, support outages, invite issues, and other dead ends) use a shared Artha illustration layout with a clear title, short explanation, and actions.
Empty lists
When a section has no data yet, you see a short title, a brief explanation, and a clear next step when one applies (for example Add on an investment dashboard). Empty prompts appear only after that section has loaded successfully — a failed load shows an error instead of a fake “add something” empty state.
An empty Workspaces list is treated as unexpected (a personal workspace should always exist). You see a full-page status screen instead of a “create your first workspace” empty state — see below.
Load failures and Retry
If a section cannot load, Invesh shows a friendly message such as Something went wrong or We could not load this, not a raw status code. Use Retry to try again. Previously synced information stays available when it is still on screen.
When an entire page fails to load, you get a full-page status screen titled We could not load this, with Retry and a Contact support hint.
Full-page status screens
These replace older icon-only fallbacks with the same Artha-illustrated layout:
| Situation | What you see | Typical actions |
|---|---|---|
| Unknown or removed URL | Oops! Page not found (with a 404 mark) | Go back, Go to home, Explore |
| Missing goal, or workspace settings you cannot open | Same Oops! Page not found screen | Go back, Go to home, Explore |
| Wealth Dashboard could not load | We could not load your portfolio | Retry |
| Workspaces list unexpectedly empty | We couldn't find your workspaces | Retry |
| Investment type not available yet | Coming soon for that investment type | Go back, Explore Investments, Request sooner |
| Unexpected app crash | Something went wrong | Reload the app, Copy error details |
| App updated while you had a tab open | App was updated | Reload the app / Reload |
| Page failed to render | We hit a snag loading this page | Try again, Go home |
| Onboarding could not load | Could not load onboarding | Retry |
| In-app Support could not load | Support is unavailable right now (or a ticket-specific title) | Try again, Contact us, Email us |
| Workspace invitation problem | Titles such as Invitation not found, Invitation unavailable, or Wrong account | Back to workspaces or Sign in with another account |
Most of these screens also show Still can’t find what you need? Contact support →, which opens in-app Support. The Support-unavailable screen hides that hint and offers Contact us (invesh.io/contact) and Email us (hello@invesh.io) instead — Email us copies the address and opens your mail app.
Offline
When your device loses internet, a banner at the top of the app says You are offline. Saved information stays visible where available; actions that need the network pause until you reconnect. Sections that cannot refresh while offline say so explicitly.
Partial data
If some feeds fail while others succeed (for example portfolio sync, USD/INR rate, performance trend, or recent activity), a notice explains what could not update. Available figures stay on screen. When amounts depend on the missing feed, totals exclude that unavailable data.
Unavailable amounts
Missing or unconfirmed money and percentage values show labels such as Data unavailable, Not calculated yet, Awaiting sync, or No activity in this period — not a silent ₹0. A confirmed zero still displays as zero.
Stale or outdated data
Where a last-successful update time is known (for example Total Wealth on the Wealth Dashboard), Invesh shows how recent that update is and offers Refresh. If data is older than the freshness window, a warning notes that totals reflect the last successful update.
No access
If your role, plan, or workspace permissions block a section that still uses an in-page access message, you see You do not have access with guidance to ask a workspace owner or admin, plus a way back home.
For a missing goal detail or workspace settings you cannot open, Invesh shows the shared Oops! Page not found screen instead.
