Stocks
Track Indian stock holdings across brokers — quantity, average buy price, and current price for P&L.
Last reviewed 2026-07-15
Stocks tracking lets you record equity positions across brokers in one place. Each holding stores symbol, quantity, average buy price, and current price so invested value and P&L stay clear.
Why it exists
Broker apps only show that broker. Invesh lets you keep multiple broker sleeves under one Stocks dashboard and roll them into the Wealth Dashboard.
How tracking works
| Concept | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Account | One broker sleeve (nickname + broker) |
| Holding | One stock position (symbol, qty, avg buy, current price) |
| Invested | Quantity × average buy price (summed across holdings) |
| Current value | Quantity × current price |
| Gain (P&L) | Current value − invested |
This is a holdings-based tracker. Valuation is manual — you update current price yourself to refresh P&L. See Tracker behaviors: Stocks.
What you need to start
- Broker name
- Stock symbol
- Quantity, average buy price, and current price
Client ID and demat BO ID are optional.
Keeping P&L current
- After buys or sells, edit quantity and average buy price
- Update current price anytime to refresh P&L (there is no automatic live price feed)
- If you sell out a position, delete the holding — that also removes its activity history (Invesh does not keep a separate realised-P&L archive for deleted holdings)
- Use bulk holdings when adding many rows at once
