Activity Feed
A month-grouped timeline of portfolio money movements with INR inflow and outflow chips, US-stock conversion when a positive USD/INR rate is stored, and a Largest insight when US activity is present.

The Activity Feed is a workspace timeline of money moving through your tracked investments. Use it when you want a chronological view instead of a type-specific dashboard table.

What you see
- Activity cards grouped by month
- Per-month inflow, outflow, and net-flow summary in INR
- A Largest chip when the loaded feed includes US stocks activity (the biggest converted INR amount among those rows, with its label)
- Links from a card back to the source investment when available
The feed fills as you add accounts, snapshots, holdings, deposits, and PPF / EPF transactions for Bank Account, Stocks, US Stocks, Mutual Funds, Fixed Deposit, Public Provident Fund, and Employee Provident Fund.
INR-only feeds (no US stocks in the loaded list) keep the same month chips and do not show the Largest chip.
What “inflow” and “outflow” mean
For the live types, recording a holding or snapshot is treated as an inflow in the feed — it means value was added to your tracked portfolio, not a bank-ledger cash transfer. Outflow appears when value leaves tracking (for example deletes or reductions the product records as such).
This is portfolio activity language, not a full bank statement.
US stocks and INR totals
Month inflow and outflow chips are always in INR. US stock amounts use the same usable USD/INR check as the Wealth Dashboard: a stored rate that is a finite number greater than 0. Age, a future fetch time, or a stale or flagged mark does not hide that rate.
When that rate is available:
- US stock rows convert into rupees on the card and in the month chips
- Hovering a converted US amount (or the Largest chip when it is a US row) shows the rate used (for example 1 USD = ₹83.25) and rate as of a short calendar date for the quote’s fetch time (for example 17 Oct 2026)
When the rate is missing, zero or negative, or not a real number (for example NaN or Infinity):
- Those US amounts stay out of the INR inflow and outflow figures (they are never treated as ₹1 = $1)
- US stock rows display in $, with USD/INR rate unavailable — showing USD only on hover
- A notice titled Some activity is excluded from INR totals explains that US stocks activity is excluded from inflow and outflow until a USD/INR rate is available
- The Largest chip (when shown) ranks only the INR amounts that remain in the totals

Filters
Use the toolbar to narrow the list:
- Type — filter by activity kind
- Date range — focus on a period
- Flow direction — Inflow or Outflow
Clear a chip when you want the full timeline again.
Empty, sparse, and failed loads
If nothing matches your filters, clear them and try again. If the feed is empty overall, start by adding an investment account or importing a statement.
