Guided investment forms
Full-screen step-by-step create and entry flows for live investment types — progress rail, pinned actions, and a finish summary.

Creating an account or adding the first balance, holding, deposit, or transaction on a live type uses a guided form — a full-screen workspace instead of a small popup.
Live types with guided create and entry:
- Bank Account
- Stocks
- US Stocks
- Mutual Funds
- Fixed Deposit
- Public Provident Fund
- Employee Provident Fund
Add several (Bulk Add) and Artha bulk import stay on their own spreadsheet paths. Each guided entry submit saves one record.
How the workspace feels
| Surface | What you see |
|---|---|
| Desktop | A step rail on the side so you can see where you are in the flow |
| Smaller screens | A compact progress header instead of the full rail |
| Every step | Primary actions stay pinned to the bottom |
| After save | A finish screen summarises what was saved (account or entry), then Done — and often Add another or a continue action such as Record balance / Add a holding |
You move one question at a time: pick an institution (or search the full list), name the account, enter details, then confirm on the finish card.
Where it opens
- First-time setup for a live type (from Explore Investment → Track now) — create the account, then optionally add the first snapshot, holding, deposit, or transaction
- Dashboard Add — Add Snapshot for banks, or Add Holding / Add Deposit / Add Transaction → Add one transaction for the other live types
- Artha single review — Review & approve for one create, update, or delete on a live type opens the same guided fields in a dialog, prefilled from what Artha staged (see Artha → Reviewing a single change)
Closing the create flow without finishing usually returns you to Explore Investment. Closing an entry flow returns you to that type’s dashboard. Closing an Artha review dialog returns you to the chat without writing.
